Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We believe your relationships are personal, and so is the information you store about them. That's why Elly is designed to keep your data entirely under your control:

• No accounts required. You don't need to create an account or give us your email.
• No servers. We don't operate servers that store your data.
• No tracking. We don't track how you use the app.
• No ads. We will never show you advertisements.
• No selling data. We can't sell what we don't have.

Data Storage

All data you enter into Elly-names, birthdays, notes, preferences, and everything else-is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is encrypted and synced through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This means:

• Your data is encrypted end-to-end
• Only you can access your data (we cannot)
• Your data syncs seamlessly across your Apple devices
• Apple's privacy protections apply to all synced data

Contacts Access

Elly can optionally import information from your iOS Contacts. This includes names, birthdays, and anniversaries. This data is processed entirely on your device-it's never sent to us or any third party.

Apple Music

If you choose to save music preferences for your contacts, Elly uses Apple's MusicKit framework to search the Apple Music catalog. Search queries are processed by Apple according to their privacy policy. We do not see or store your search queries.

AI Assistant (iOS 26+)

Elly's AI assistant uses Apple's Foundation Models framework, which processes everything locally on your device. Your conversations and the data used to generate responses never leave your device.

Analytics

The Elly app does not use any analytics services. This website uses Google Analytics. Your app usage is entirely private.

Third-Party Services

Elly does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external services used are Apple's own frameworks (CloudKit, MusicKit, Foundation Models), all of which are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Elly does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and relies on Apple's parental controls for age-appropriate access.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we'll provide notice through the App Store update notes.
