How do I sync my data across devices?
Elly automatically syncs through iCloud when you're signed in with your Apple ID. Make sure iCloud is enabled for Elly in Settings -> [Your Name] -> iCloud -> Apps Using iCloud.
Can I import contacts from my phone?
Yes! When adding a new person, tap "Import from Contacts" to pull in their name, birthday, and anniversary. The app will ask for Contacts permission the first time.
How do I ask Elly questions?
On iOS 26 and later, Elly includes an AI assistant powered by Apple's Foundation Models. It runs entirely on your device-your conversations never leave your phone. Ask Elly for gift ideas, birthday reminders, or anything about the people in your life.
Can I ask Siri to ask Elly?
Yes! Try "Hey Siri, ask Elly who has a birthday this week" or "Hey Siri, ask Elly what to get Jake." Siri can also tell you about upcoming anniversaries and provide details about anyone in your Elly.
How do I add music preferences?
Open a person's profile and tap "Add Music." Search for artists, albums, or songs from Apple Music's catalog. You'll need to grant Elly permission to access Apple Music the first time.
Can I back up my data?
Your data is automatically backed up through iCloud. If you want an additional backup, your Elly data is included in your iPhone backup (via iCloud Backup or Finder/iTunes).
Is my data private?
Absolutely. Your data is stored locally on your device and encrypted in iCloud. We don't have servers, we can't see your data, and we never will. See our

How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual people by swiping left on their name in the list. To delete all data, you can delete the app. Since we don't store anything on servers, deleting the app removes all your data.
